The YWCA Northeast Indiana is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.
 

We are currently seeking a full-time Development Coordinator to provide support to the Chief Relationships Officer and Development department through active involvement in events, donor relations, grant administration, and marketing support.

Essential Duties:

  1. Development Support
    1. Logistics and data oversight for fundraising events.
    2. Management and entry of  donor management software
    3. Produce required reports from donor management software
    4. Produce donor appreciation letters
    5. Coordinate recognition with Marketing and Communications Manager
    6. Update and email weekly gift reports with  donor stewardship
    7. Prepare note cards for BOD per donor stewardship plan
    8. Schedule and produce minutes for board engagement and development committee
  2. Grants Program Management
    1. Project manage grant funding
    2. Follow grant process and timeline
    3. Update comprehensive grant report as changes occur
    4. Responsible for creation and submission of foundation grant reports
    5. Coordinate and collaborate with grant writer, program directors, finance, Chief Relationships Officer and Chief Executive Officer to ensure all grants and reports  are completed accurately and submitted within the timeframe as indicated in grant process
  3. Event Coordination
    1. Lead fundraising event committees
    2. Schedule all committee meetings and communicate with members and staff
    3. Coordinate all event logistics with venue, vendors, staff, committee and volunteers
    4. Prepare registration materials and post-event reports
    5. Coordinate stewardship events
  4. Marketing Support
    1. Maintain updated mailing list in email database
    2. Support Marketing and Communications  Manager in evaluation and implementation of marketing initiatives
    3. Schedule and produce minutes for Marketing Committee
  5. Other Duties as Assigned

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

 

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Strong customer service skills with ability to communicate in a professional manner with a wide range of people.
  • Proven ability to effectively and respectfully interact with diverse populations, including clients, co-workers, board members, volunteers and agency.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion when handling potentially confidential or sensitive manners.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.  Experience with Google platform preferred. 
  • Financial/Fund development software experience strongly preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience with general office equipment (copiers, printers)
  • Accurate, organized, and detail-oriented, with ability to work under pressure and shift priorities in response to changing needs.
  • Ability to keep accurate records and files
  • Must comply with organization's policy of automobile insurance: must have a valid driver’s license and personal automobile insurance coverage.
  • Flexibility to change work hours as needed.

Physical/Mental Essential Requirements:

  • Walking, standing, bending, stooping, reaching, moderate lifting and carrying (up to thirty (30) pounds).
  • Full range of body motion including manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
  • Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. 
  • Ability to sit at a computer work station for extended periods of time. 
  • Occasional need to stand for long periods of time. 
  • Ability to focus on detail and accuracy of work product. 
  • Work is performed primarily in a non-smoking office environment.
  • Occasional high stress may be experienced in dealing with clients, staff and volunteers.
